The last six(!) weeks I have been working on a Grabbit. It took me two weeks of thinking and designing and four weeks to paint and start all over. What a pain. So to say it was a hard "job". But at this moment looking at it it makes me feel happy.

If you look closely it is not perfect though, but good enough I honestly believe. Sometimes it just does not come easy...

Working "white-on-black" is so much different. I always wanted to do that and I have to say it is more difficult than I thought it would be. It is something I never did so that makes it harder automatically, I think. Also the Bax Bear is a custom I never painted before.

So all together a nice little experiment for me that turned out into Box.

I do not work fast. So it took a while for this latest custom. The most difficult aspect of a custom is the actual design and not painting the piece, I believe. Somehow the 'I, WZL' toy was not easy for me. And still I have mixed feelings about Klyme.

Well perhaps you disagree. Let's hope so... But I doubt if I ever custom a 'I, WZL' toy again.

I still did not buy a scanner. Therefore my drawings are not published yet. But I will...

My latest custom is Su Zhen, a 3.5 inch Tamo. I am happy with the result. Sometimes people ask me why I make Asian women so much. The answer is simple: Asian women are beautiful.... Well most of them anyway...

Will my next custom also be an Asian woman? Perhaps. I honestly do not know at this moment.

I just finished my third Ego custom. His name is Murphy the prisoner. He is actually a real person but I do not tell him and his family. People might think I disrespect him and I do not want that. But on the other hand I do not feel sorry for individuals who put too much drugs in their ass.

Also I put some links online of my most favourite artists. Please check them out and be amazed.

Why do people like toys? To be more precise: Why do most men like toys? Is it a desire to their childhood, to escape daily routine with all it’s responsibilities and dullness or is it the only thing left to play with without worrying about age and behaviour? Honestly I do not know. The only thing I know is that I also love toys. Designer toys that is. All though I never play with toys I love to watch them and put them in my glass cabinet to show off.

Before my website www.vanbergenbravenboer.nl was about music, movies and cult. Although I still think those things are essential in life the original website lost his need of existence due to wikipedia and numerous forums. I mean why writing about something that is already been written somewhere else?

As mentioned I love designer toys. To collect but also to make myself. Regularly I will update this site with my latest creations which you can buy also. Furthermore I will inform you about “things” that I think is interesting and worth mentioning.

Thank you very much for visiting and your time. Feel free to contact me if you have anything (sensible) to say.

PS. I am not English. That means my grammar is far from perfect. Please do not take notice and forgive me for that.
